Growing up, I was fortunate enough to have a mentor in design at a very young age. Computers had just become mainstream and Adobe was taking over the design world. I was hooked on the combination of technology and design. In high school I opted to take advanced off-campus classes specifically in computer design to jump start my career and had my first design job at Westlake Advertising at the age of 16. After graduation I ventured 1,100 miles north to Seattle and went to college and graduated from The Art Institute of Seattle with a degree in Visual Communications.

In college, I started working with a freelance logo/package designer learning the trade and diving deeper into visual marketing. My responsibilities increased, and I was given more opportunities and started adding digital photography and video production to my resume. From there I started Porter Design Company and also continued to work part-time as a Senior Designer at Banyan Design Group.

WIth 25+ years of industry experience, I continue to offer packaging, advertising and design services from small companies to large corporations alike. Networking with other professional artists, photographers, designers, shops, corporations and printers, I provide a wide range of services from brand strategies to product photography.

Being able to work directly with my clients is something that I take pride in and it gives me an opportunity to learn more about each individual, taking their passion and putting it to work.
